You must pass the Pennsylvania Board’s combined theory and procedural skills exam to obtain your license. 

It’s a 105-minute multiple-choice exam that covers virtually everything. It covers safety, sanitation, skin science, makeup application, and removal analysis. After the state verifies your license, you will be issued a license.

Suppose you are currently a resident of Connecticut, HY, New Jersey, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Colorado, Florida, or Utah. In that case, you cannot apply for a reciprocal license to practice as a skin care professional in Pennsylvania. You must apply for your initial Pennsylvania license and pass the Pennsylvania exams.
