  1. SALES & MARKETING MANAGER

Job Summary

The role of the Sales & Marketing Manager is to drive the hotel revenue by effectively managing the sales process, marketing and selling the hotel within the local and national marketplace. The Sales Manager is responsible for increasing the profitability of the existing accounts, secure new business, and work across all market segments to ensure all activities undertaken to increase the hotel profit are in line with the business plan.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or it’s equivalent in a related discipline.

Minimum Experience: 5 years in a similar role in the hospitality industry

2. FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Job Summary

Financial Controller functions as the hotel’s strategic financial business leader. The position leads, develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and employees. The position provides the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing the return on investment. In addition, creates and executes a business plan that is aligned with the brand’s business strategy and focuses on the execution of financial and accounting activities and the delivery of desirable financial results.

Minimum Qualification: A Chartered Accountant

Minimum Experience: 7 years in a similar role in the hospitality industry

3. EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER

Job Summary

Responsible for the daily shift operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry. Directs and works with employees to ensure guestrooms, public space and employee areas are clean and well maintained. Completes inspections and holds people accountable for corrective action. Position assists in ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor Degree or its equivalent in a related discipline.

Minimum Experience: 5 years in a similar role in the hospitality industry

4. CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER (CSO)

Job Summary

A Chief Security Officer will be responsible for directing and overseeing the implementation of all safety and security measures for providing a safe environment for guests and team members. In addition, he/she will ensure compliance to all security procedures in line with our standards.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in a related discipline.

5. ICT MANAGER

Job Summary

ICT Manager is in charge of the overall supervision of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of Information Technology (IT) network and infrastructure projects, on relevant and effective technology to be used in accordance with the hotel’s standards and policies.

6. FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

Job Summary

Responsible for all front office functions and staff. Areas of responsibility include Bell Staff, Reservations Operations, Guest Services/Front Desk and Retail/Gift Shop, as applicable. As a department head, directs and works with managers and employees to successfully execute all front office operations, including guest arrival and departure procedures. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department.

7. PURCHASING OFFICER

Job Summary

Purchasing Officer will work with suppliers to negotiate contracts for the purchase of required goods and keep accurate records of transactions trendTo assist the Finance and Operational departments in the monitoring, reporting and controlling of cost of sales in the hotel, including audit and control, financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, forecasting etc.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor Degree or its equivalent in a related discipline.

Minimum Experience: 3 years in a similar role in the hospitality industry.

8. AUDITOR

Job Summary

To perform full audit cycle including enterprise risk management, risk-based internal audit, cost control. Effective, financial reliability and compliance with processes, directives and regulations at all times.

Minimum Qualification: A Bachelor Degree in Accounting

9. LAUNDRY SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

A Laundry Supervisor is responsible for managing the overall daily operations of the Laundry Room to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while ensuring quality controls and guest inquiries.

Minimum Qualification: OND

10. SALES & MARKETING EXECUTIVES

Job Summary

The position is accountable for proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Assists in leading all day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of sales objectives. Achieves personal sales goals.

Candidate Profile

  • Two (2) years experience in 5 Stars Hotel in Abuja as Sales Executive.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related discipline.

11. MEDIA MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Job Summary

This role promotes on-brand messaging to customers through traditional, digital, and social media channels all to enhance the image of the hotel. Media Marketing Executive builds direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activated channels to the end of driving consumer awareness and preference, increasing market share and building broader portfolio and brand awareness.

Candidate Profile

Two (2) years experience in sales, direct and digital marketing. Experience in hospitality marketing or digital advertising is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related discipline.

12. HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Job Summary

Human Resources Manager will carry out daily activities of the Human Resource Office including recruitment, total compensation, strategic management, training and development. Additionally, he/she assists in delivering HR services that meet or exceed the needs of employees and enable business success; as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and operating procedures.

Candidate Profile

Five (5) years experience in Human Resources Management, Managerial operations, or related professional area.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related discipline.

13. HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Job Summary

Human Resources Officer will assist the Human Resources Manager to achieve the organizational goals and objectives as related to the human resources office.

Candidate Profile

At least (1) years experience in Human Resources Management, Managerial operations, or related professional area.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related discipline.

14. ACCOUNTS OFFICER

Job Summary

The Accounts Officer reports to the Financial Controller. He/She keeps precise records of incoming and outgoing payments of the hotel. Processes payment requests, making payments for services, verifying accounts payable and receivable, and researching financial account activity, among other duties.

Candidate Profile

At least (2) years experience in Accounting services and other related services.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking & Finance or related discipline.

15. CAHIERS

Job Summary

The cashier is responsible for handling payments, money and valuables etc. On Check-out, the guest settles the account by using any of the payment options available, such as cash, debit cards, personal cheques, corporate billing, etc. Post guest charges and credits into each guest folio daily. Prepare bills and present them to the guest at the time of the guest’s departure. Settle all bills on departure. Operate the accounting software system.

Candidate Profile

  • At least (1) years experience as a cashier and other related services.
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking & Finance or related discipline.

16. CREDIT OFFICER

Job Summary

The credit officer is responsible for the entire credit granting process, bill collection, including the consistent application of a credit policy. The role ensures that the hotel achieves optimum performance and achieves the required credit targets.

Candidate Profile

At least (1) years experience as a Credit Officer and other related services.

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking & Finance or related discipline

17. STOREKEEPERS

Job Summary

The storekeeper in the hotel has the main responsibility to receive, store and issue supplies and equipment for the day-to-day hotel operations. Work closely with the purchasing department, ensure the cleanliness of all work areas, keeping storage and receiving areas clean and tidy at all times.

He/she also verifies that all supplies and goods received are listed on requisitions/orders and the delivery notes, invoices are checked and filed in the appropriate folder. Maintains par stock, inventory and stock records every month and compiles records of expenditures/consumptions etc.

Candidate Profile

  • At least (1) years experience in the similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any related discipline.

18. FRONT OFFICE SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

Primarily supervises front office team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations for producing excellent feedbacks and guest satisfaction. Responds professionally and courteously to guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.

You will also ensure hotel charges are processed diligently to guest’s accounts, invoices are accurate, billing instructions are verified, all necessary supporting bills and vouchers are attached for direct settlements.

Candidate Profile

  • At least (2) years experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Hospitality Management or any related discipline.

19. FRONT OFFICE ATTENDANTS

Job Summary

The role ensures efficient and smooth operations for producing excellent feedbacks and guest satisfaction. Responds professionally and courteously to guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.

Front Office Attendant reports to the Front Office Supervisor.

Candidate Profile

  • At least (1) years experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in any related discipline.

20. RESERVATION SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

He or She primarily supervises the reservation functions for the hotel ensuring all reservations are processed in a pleasant, professional and efficient manner. Manages and coordinates activities of reservation team members providing reservations and customer services skills. 

Achieving customer satisfaction and room revenue goals while taking guests through the booking process. Assist the front office manager with budgeting, forecasting, and hiring, retaining and developing reservations and customer service employees.

Candidate Profile

At least (2) years experience in a similar role.

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hotel Management and Tourism, International Relations or any related discipline

21. ASSISTANT CHIEF ENGINEER

Job Summary

As an Asst. Manager for the engineering department you would be assisting the Chief Engineer on his day to day activities, Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all machinery, equipment and engineering facilities.

Also to ensure that there is no breakdown of the engineering systems and inspect the working condition of equipment and engineering systems and ensure that all standards are maintained on regular basis.

Candidate Profile

  • At least (3) years experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences or any related discipline.

22. HVAC TECHNICIAN

Job Summary

HVAC(Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning) technician is primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of HVAC and refrigerant units of the hotel.

Additionally responsible for preventative maintenance, plant operations, repairs and minor modifications to the Air handling units and fixed fans. Reports to the Engineering shift in charge of the Chief engineer.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in Cold Storage, Chilled Water plant, FAHU (Fresh Air Handling Unit), FCU (Fan Coil Unit) and AHU (Air Handling Unit), with minimum 2-4years experience, hotel industry person will be preferred.
  • Diploma Holder in Engineering, Maintenance Vocational Schooling or any related area.

23. ELECTRICIAN

Job Summary

The Electrician will undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. He will involve installing electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions and blackouts and repairing appliances.

Candidate Profile

  • At least (2) years experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Technical College Certificate or its equivalent.

24. PLUMBER

Job Summary

The plumber will install, maintain, and repair pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems in residential and commercial structures. Fixes domestic appliances, such as dishwashers and gas cookers. Inspects drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.

Candidate Profile

  • At least (2) years experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Technical College Certificate or its equivalent.

25. HOUSEKEEPING ATTENDANTS

Job Summary

Performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms, baths and public areas under the supervision f housekeeping supervisor. The housekeeping attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and problems.

Candidate Profile

  • At least (1) years experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Technical College or Trade Certificate or its equivalent.

26. LAUNDRY ATTENDANTS

Job Summary

Being a laundry attendant you are responsible to ensure that all laundry services for the hotel’s guests is done as per the standard policies and is met on time. Also responsible for laundry collection from guest rooms, dry-cleaning, washing, drying, pressing and folding of guest’s laundry along with other hotel linen.

Additionally properly tags Guest items and then sorts for appropriate action like Washing, dry cleaning, stain removal, pressing or send for repairing to the hotel tailor.

Candidate Profile

  • At least (1) years experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Technical College or Trade Certificate or its equivalent.

27. SECURITY OPERATIVES

Job Summary

Primarily responsible to provide security and safety of the guests, staff and the hotel at all times. Is familiar and complies with the hotel’s standards and procedures. Also watch for unusual, illegal or dangerous activities occurring on the premises.

Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access if required during the shift. Able to monitor Closed perimeter fencing, alarm system,   fire & life safety systems.

Candidate Profile

  • At least (3) years experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Relevant certificate in security and safety training.

28. BANQUET CAPTAIN

Job Summary

As a banquet captain, you are responsible to meet with group coordinator/event hosts before functions, make introductions, and ensure that all arrangements are agreeable. Read and analyse banquet event order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, etc. 

Working closely with the banqueting team, he/she is responsible for the execution and delivery of all events, maximizing revenue, utilization of meeting space and working to achieve or exceed the defined budgeted revenues for the banquet department.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years work experience as a Sales Coordinator or Banquet coordinator in a luxury or five starts hotel is preferred.
  • Degree or diploma in hotel management or Degree in Business administration.

29. KITCHEN STEWARD

Job Summary

He / She is responsible to assist the Chef to enforce the highest possible cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food processing facilities, as well as the operating equipment. Main responsibilities include dish room operations, night cleaning, back area cleaning and equipment’s maintenance, banquet plating and food running.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Technical College or Trade Certificate or its equivalent.

30. FOOD & BEVERAGES SERVERS

Job Summary

F&B Server performs all tasks associated with setting up, serving, and breaking down of function rooms where banquet food service activities are performed. He / She is responsible for the prompt, courteous, smooth and efficient service of food and beverage to guests during a banquet and outdoor functions.

Additionally, work as a team to follow through with the proper and timely set-up and execution of banquet events.

31. SOUS CHEF

Job Summary

The Sous Chef is responsible to assist the Executive Chef for overall kitchen operation as a successful independent profit center, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction, through planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the Kitchen operation and administration. 

Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while assisting in leading the staff and managing all food-related functions. Also,  assists in supervising all kitchen areas to ensure consistently, high-quality products are produced.

32. COMMIS CHEF

Job Summary

The Commis Chef is responsible to prepare a consistent, high-quality food product, ensure courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service and Hotels operational standards. You will be also responsible for assisting Sous Chef in cooking and then ensuring that all stations are clean.

Additionally, He/ She is responsible to prepare special meals or substitute items, regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters etc. Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator and Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.

33. CHEF DE PARTIE

Job Summary

As a Chef De Partie (CDP) you are responsible supporting the Head and Sous Chef in a busy hotel kitchen delivering consistently high-quality food, handle purchase orders and ensure that items arriving without authorization are not received.

Ensures the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keeps up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.

34. PASTRY CHEF

Job Summary

As a Pastry Chef, you are responsible for operating the pastry section of the kitchen while working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef. A Pastry Chef will also be required to plan production and develop seasonal offerings.

Responsible to create high-quality pastry dishes with the standard recipes and presentations to maintain quality standards and consistency of product. Also, assist in production and maintenance of par stocks of pastry and dessert with proper rotation of products and maintain the highest cleanliness and hygiene standard in the pastry and bakery section.

Job Summary
