The University admission requirements are based on academic background, regardless of age.
To see if you meet the university admission requirements, you are required to check the appropriate level of education and the program of your interest.
If you do not meet the published admission requirements you may become eligible for some programs through either the Academic Bridging Program or the Transitional Year Programme. Note that if you have previously been enrolled in degree studies, you are not eligible for these programs.
University of Toronto Admission Deadline
The application process to the university begins in the fall of the year before the start of studies. Be sure to start applying for scholarships immediately, as some have close deadlines.
We recommend that you send your request and the corresponding fee before the deadlines indicated. The recommended deadline for international, internal and part-time applications of OUAC 105 at the U of T is November 1, 2019.
If your applications are received from OUAC after the program closes, your request will be cancelled without a refund.
University of Toronto Admission Requirements for International Students Graduate

If you hold a university degree or have completed more than two years of university-level study at another university beyond the minimum requirements, you may only apply for degree studies in a different field.
Is SAT required for University of Toronto?
In order to gain admission into the U of T, applicants must have good SAT I (Reasoning) or ACT (students must take the writing test if they pass the ACT).

What is the GPA requirement for University of Toronto?
Applicants must have a minimum average of 3.6/4.0. Possession of the minimum GPA requirement does not guarantee acceptance.
Based on recent admission history statistics, a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 is considered competitive.
The cumulative grade point average used to meet the academic requirements will not include your current year of study, since this information is not available during the application period.

These can vary from $8,000 to $15,000 per school year, depending on where you live, and if you buy a meal plan or prepare your own food.
If you live in a rental housing off campus, the rent and food costs can be up to $15,000.
How Much does it Cost to Apply to University of Toronto?
In addition to the OUAC application service fee, you’ll be required to pay a non-refundable U of T supplementary fee of $90.
You are permitted to submit one type of application only. If you submit more than one application, the U of T will cancel the second without refund.
For example, if you submit a 105 application, then submit an International application, the International application will be cancelled without refund.
How much does University of Toronto cost for International Students?
International students applying to U of T will be required to a non-refundable U of T Supplementary fee of $180.
Use the U of T International Application if you:
- currently reside outside of Canada, AND
- are not currently studying, and have not previously studied, in Canada, AND
- are not applying to any other Ontario university
