This is an annual scholarship for international adoptees and is given to children of first responders (biological, adopted, or step-child) by First Responders Children’s Foundation.

#3. Vincent Bennett, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

This is an annual scholarship award for adopted students. The scholarship is offered to an incoming freshman who is the offspring of a law enforcement officer or firefighter who lost his/her life or was permanently disabled in the line of duty.

This award gives recognition to the need for finance, academic achievement and dogged commitment to service in the community must be displayed by a candidate.

Scholarship Worth
$20,000 award over a four year period ($5,000 per year).

#4. Department of Children and Families (DCF) Adopted Child Tuition Waiver and Fee Assistance Program

The design of DCF Adopted Child Tuition Waiver and Fee Assistance Program is such that lessens the financial burden on adopting parents in the Commonwealth.

This waiver, in its extension of eligibility to all children and young adults, age twenty-four or under, adopted through DCF by state employees or eligible Massachusetts residents, does not give regard to the date of adoption.
